Planning for 4D3N Phuket

Let me share how I planned my 4D3N for my Phuket trip in November and spent S$500 or roughly 12,500 Thai Bhat which includes my airline ticket, hotel, tour and of course food and massage.

1. Airline Ticket
Tips;

  •  Sign up for airline newsletter, so when they are on sale, then you will be notified.
  • In your free time or during weekend, check the airline site and check the Promotion, maybe you will be lucky enough to book the cheapest flight at first sight. Else, if you see it’s cheaper compared to the usual price, then don’t think twice, booked the date before it’s too late ‘coz the next time you check that date, the price will be high again, and it happens to me most of the time.
  • File a leave. Well, filling a leave is not applicable for those who has no obligation in the company, but if you have like me- a full time employee, then filling a leave is a top priority, of course we don’t want that later, when everything was planned and set, the Boss will not approve the leave, we don’t want that kind of trouble right? So a leave approval must be obtain right after an airline ticket is secured.

2. Pick up Service from Phuket airport to and from hotel.

I suggest the phuketshuttle.com, it’s proven and tested by me and my group during our arrival in phuket. Booking is done online, confirmation will be sent to your email and payment is upon arrival. http://www.phuketshuttle.com

3. Hotel

For hotel, it is then your choice wether you want luxury or at least a safe and comfy. For me and my friends, since we booked a whole day tour which means that a luxury hotel and swimming pool is not really a need,  a safe and comfy place to get rest and sleep is a wise choice for us. For hotel choices you can find a lot of option in agoda and booking.com.

4. Island hopping

If you have enough patience in looking for best posibble options online, then you will find so many choices that offers a good deal. But for me and my friends booked under Phuket Travel Company which per adult pays only 1,700 Thai Bhat instead of 3,500 Thai Bhat.

5. Phuket City Tour

For the city,  I’d prefer to purchase a package tour within the place already. Arriving at the airport, to the hotel, even to the street along the way to Thaweewong, Bangla Road and Patong Beach.

6. Pocket Money (S$-Thai Bhat)

If you plan your trip ahead of time, then it would be better to check also from to time the exchange rate. For budget tourist and backpackaers, I would suggest to have your money exchange before you travel or else you will reach Phuket with a slight difference in exchange rate. Well, slight difference for budget tourist like me will make really make a big difference, so spent wisely so your S$150 will go a long way.
